The pair of chicks at Loch Arkaig Pine Forest were ringed and measured last week and are both females.
SSEN Transmission has committed to compensatory tree planting on all major projects, replacing every tree that is felled with the planting of a native species where possible.
An interactive sculpture by Clara Elliot leads visitors off the main woodland track deeper into the forest in a series of steps which can be explored.
At Loch Arkaig funding will help the Woodland Trust Scotland build four slipways and a stacking and loading area on the shores of the loch to help move timber by an electric barge.
George Anderson, of Woodland Trust Scotland, said it was the second time Doddie has found the limelight since leaving Loch Arkaig.
Supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery a nest camera has been running at Arkaig since 2017, building up a substantial world viewership as fans followed the family life of ospreys Louis and Aila as they raised their six chicks.
Hope emerged on Tuesday when two new ospreys touched down and mated on the nest.
‘There’s a lot of foot traffic past the area so hopefully everyone will appreciate some colour as they’re walking home or setting out along The Witches,’ said Laura Corbe.
The nest camera at Loch Arkaig Pine Forest in Lochaber has been running since 2017. In 2019 it attracted an audience of 60,000 viewers. Last year its audience shot up to nearly 400,000.
