Both Hope Kitchen and the Salvation Army are collecting gifts for those less fortunate, and if you’re able to contribute then this year it’s even more needed than ever.
It’s not going to be our usual Christmas this year, which I think we’ve all accepted, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it beautiful, bright and merry.
Lots of people have been telling me lately that they have started their Christmas shopping a bit earlier this year because of the uncertainty about any future lockdowns, and I must admit it makes perfect sense.

As Joe and I have been out and about we’ve been encouraged by the response of visitors to the restrictions in place – they’re having a good time and doing it responsibly, as are the locals.
The town is certainly buzzing this week and as time goes by I’m sure we’ll all settle into our routines of mask wearing and sanitising.
