Argyll and Bute Harbour Board meets on December 2 after looking at a series of options on how best Oban bay should be managed.
The community council is now adding its weight and will be writing to Argyll and Bute calling for a meeting to move the matter forward and put a time-scale on it.
Volunteers investigate the viability of a locally-run port, but they say ‘the difficult bit starts here’.
