Oceanographers studying ocean currents that dictate much of earth’s climate have developed a method to unlock data from the past 120 years – improving our ability to predict global temperature changes.
The lucky ones across Argyll were RNLI Oban Lifeboat, the Salvation Army, Oban and Mull & Iona Community Hospital, Hope Kitchen, Kerrera Community Hub, Soroba Young Family Group, Mull Safe and Sound, Salen Primary and Pre-sSchool and the Isle of Mull Pony Club.
The plan is to build a forest road connecting up three timber producing forests on Morvern, which will then take the timber to a floating pier where the timber can be loaded onto ships.
The chick ended up in the record books by staying for a further five weeks in his nest beyond the date when he should have taken his maiden flight.
