Royal Navy sailors and submariners gathered at Hermitage park, Helensburgh, on Sunday to join the nation in the act of remembrance
One way or another, pandemic or not, the Campbeldown community remembered them.
There may have been no formal remembrance services and only a few people around this year due to coronavirus restrictions but people have still managed to pay their respects and share a few memories.
Today The Oban Times is asking you to stand on your doorstep or in your garden – this time to remember the sacrifice of all those who paid the ultimate price to defend our freedom.
The usual parade from Corran Halls to Oban War Memorial can not take place but there will be two Acts of Remembrance going ahead with reduced numbers attending and social distancing. A service will also be live streamed.
There are plans to work on a video to release as a way of marking the important commemoration.
