Plans recently published by Argyll & Bute Council regarding the proposed
development of a municipal port for Oban have been broadly welcomed
by OCHDA but the group wants to see the council engaging with the community as soon as possible.

The warning comes as Oban Bay Management Group-backed council plans for a municipal port for the town.

Argyll and Bute Harbour Board meets on December 2 after looking at a series of options on how best Oban bay should be managed.
The community council is now adding its weight and will be writing to Argyll and Bute calling for a meeting to move the matter forward and put a time-scale on it.
