Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston acknowledges the work that the trust does towards ensuring that the Gaelic language and crofting culture remain at the heart of its community.
Confirmation of the Group’s recognition was received last week after Highlands and Islands Conservative MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston had appeared before Holyrood’s Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee to give evidence about the new group.
Lochaber Chamber of Commerce pointed out that the new short-term lets legislation was developed in response to concerns raised by residents and communities about the impact of short-term let properties, including noise, anti-social behaviour and the impact on the supply of housing in some areas.
The Scottish Conservative MSP said he was delighted to chair the first meeting of this new group and to be elected convener.
