The Outdoor Capital of the UK, Fort William, An Gearasdan, is at the heart of Lochaber. It’s the place where the West Highland Way ends and the Great Glen Way begins. It has mountains and skiing when there’s snow and even if there’s no snow, there’s walking, running, climbing, river races, sailing, kayaking, mountain biking to name but a few. Fort William is everyone’s favourite base camp for whatever sport they choose.

ridges and a descent into a magnificent corrie.
The purpose of the plan is to provide medium-long term tourism infrastructure solutions over the next two to five years.
The body was found by the River Nevis around 11am on Christmas Day by a member of the public.
Formal identification has yet to take place but Mr Baillie’s family has been informed.
Additional projects either underway or expected to start soon include parking at Ardnamurchan Point and improvements to parking in Glen Nevis.
Thanks to all the volunteers who took part and cleared as much litter as possible.
High Life Highland says the rise in visitor numbers has also seen an increase in problems including dirty and unauthorised camping, littering
and visitors not being Covid-compliant or adhering to the countryside code.
