People living in Cruachan Crescent want the builders’ bags, planks of wood, scaffolding and other linked rubbish moved quick before it piles even higher.
The lofty spot on a hillside looking down onto the town and the harbour is being blighted by takeaway rubbish and other partying waste.
The money was awarded to the MacDougall of Dunollie Preservation Trust for works to the exterior and main tower of Dunollie Castle in Oban.
Space-making proposals for Dunollie Museum, Castle and Grounds, have been passed by Argyll and Bute Council planners.
