Starting from July 2, there will be a cafe at St Oran’s Church in Connel from 2pm to 4pm in the church on every first Saturday of the month.

Connel community councillors who objected to a new-build lochside café in the village will now meet on June 1 at 7.30pm in the village hall, public welcome.

As well as its work to raise £6,000 with charity Toilet Twinning, the cafe has just been accredited as an official Toilet Twinning village.
