With nearly 1,000 people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in Scotland each year and more than half of those with the disease dying within three months of diagnosis, Adrian Beard was determined to help change that statistic by raising awareness and funds for research
Pancreatic Cancer UK charity described Adrian Beard as an ‘incredible ambassador’ helping it raise thousands of pounds of vital funds for research into the devastating disease just weeks before his death on September 10.
In total, an incredible 914 miles for Pancreatic Cancer UK’s Big Step Forward was clocked up in 24 hours by Team Oban, doubling their fundraising target to more than £10,000
Through BID4Oban, Adrian Beard organised for McCaig’s Tower to light up for World Pancreatic Cancer Day.
