Last week the Oban library team held an event to welcome Ukrainians living in Argyll, with some relocated due to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Welcome event was held on Thursday April 13 at the Oban Library and involved a Bookbug session.

This encouraged families with young children to participate in stories, songs and rhymes, while there was also games, toys and activities at the free event.

In a Facebook post, Live Argyll Libraries said: “We had a lovely morning at Oban Library for our Ukrainian Welcome event. Thanks to everyone who came along to join our Bookbug session and look around the library.

“An extra special thanks to our Oban team and members for providing the lovely cakes and refreshments.”
