Threatening behaviour 

About 11pm on July 17 at Victoria Crescent, Oban a man, aged 29, behaved in a threatening manner towards another male. Police traced the man and he was issued with a Recorded Police Warning.

Assault allegation

About 3.15am on July 19 at the Isle of Seil, a 47-year-old man allegedly assaulted a woman and behaved in a threatening manner. Police attended and the man was arrested and charged and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Cannabis find

About 12.30am on July 17 at Shore Street, Oban, a woman, aged 18, was stopped and searched by police and found in possession of a small amount of cannabis. The woman was issued with a Recorded Police Warning.

Abusive Behaviour 

About 5pm on July 16 at Corran Esplanade, Oban, two men, aged 40 and 46, behaved in an abusive manner and caused a disturbance. Police traced both of the men and they were issued with Recorded Police Warnings.


About 8.20pm on July 22 at Railway Pier, Oban, a 60-year-old man allegedly behaved in a threatening and abusive manner to a man and a woman. Police arrested the man and he was charged with the offence. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
