The Isle of Mull was celebrating recently after three of its cafés were recognised at the Scottish Cafe Awards 2022 for being among the best in the industry.

Tearoom of the Year went to Tobermory Bakery and Tea Room, while the Isle’s Cafe of the Year was awarded to An Tobar, which is based in Tobermory, and Best Coffee Shop went to Arlene’s Coffee in Craignure.

The evening was hosted by broadcaster Gina McKie and provided a platform to thank those in the café industry, letting them know that their work doesn’t go un-noticed.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Cafe Awards 2022, said: ‘We are honoured by the fantastic response we have had from the public who was so keen to vote for their favourite cafés.

‘The cafe industry has grown massively over the past years and we aimed to seek out, reward and thank those who have managed to make a real difference by introducing innovation in this industry

‘The awards also aimed to acknowledge everything that is coffee related and showcase that Scottish people are big coffee lovers. It was lovely to be part of this celebration and we would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their achievements!’
