A burst water pipe near Oban High School on Soroba Road means some homes in the area could be left without water for part of the day.

A Scottish Water team is now on-site carrying out repairs so supplies can be restored as soon as possible.

People living in the area are warned they could experience  no water supply or low, intermittent water pressure and it might be discoloured.

There are no plans at this time to provide residents with bottled water.

Excavation work will need to take place to expose and repair the damaged  pipe so passing traffic will need to be controlled to keep the public and workers safe.
