Lochaber Leisure Centre Swim Team coach Phil Kyle is retiring from his role as volunteer coach after seven years.

Phil joined the club when his daughter started swimming with the team and when she finished he carried on giving his time every week.

Every swimmer currently in the club started with Phil’s group and has moved onto the faster lanes thanks to him.

Tracey MacCallum, Lochaber Leisure Centre Swim Team secretary, said: ‘Phil will be a great loss to the club and whilst we will all miss him greatly we thank him for all his dedication and support over the years and wish him well. We hope he will consider returning once in a while.’
