Motorists using the A82 south of Spean Bridge are set to benefit from an improved road surface with works to get under way on Friday July 1.

The project involving the resurfacing of a 550 metre section is expected to take place over five days, 7am to 7pm each day, with all works anticipated to be completed by 7pm on Thursday July 7 subject to weather conditions. No works will be carried out on the weekend of July 2 and 3.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers as well as motorists, a lane closure with a 10mph convoy system and temporary traffic lights will be in place during working hours.

Outwith working hours, a lane closure will be required to protect the newly laid surfacing materials and the A82 will operate using a single lane with traffic signals controlling vehicle movements.

Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.
