Fail to stop accident

A wall, gate and downpipe at a property in Benvoullin Road, Oban, were damaged when they were hit by an unknown vehicle sometime between Wednesday June 16 and Thursday 17th June. The driver did not stop to report the incident. Inquiries continue.

Assault

About 12.30pm on Friday June 17 at Brander Lodge, Bridge of Awe, a man, aged 48, allegedly assaulted another man. Police attended and the man was issued with a recorded police warning.

Mountain bike stolen

A green Sierra mountain bike was stolen from the common close at Colonsay Terrace, Oban, sometime between 7pm on Sunday June 12 and 7pm on Tuesday June 14.

Drink driver

A woman, aged 29, was arrested and charged with drink driving after being stopped by police on George Street, Oban, about 1am on Friday June 17. A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Drugs search

Police searched a property for controlled drugs at Scalpay Terrace, Oban On Friday June ?? at Scalpay Terrace, Oban, police search for controlled drugs within a property authorised under warrant. A quantity of controlled substances were recovered. A man (50) was arrested and enquiries continue.

Possession of drugs

About 2pm on Saturday June 18 at Blarbuie Road, Lochgilphead, police stopped and searched a man, aged 20, who was found in possession of cannabis. The man was issued with a recorded police warning.

Motoring offences

A lorry driver, a man aged 47, stopped by police for a routine vehicle check at 10.30am on Saturday June 18 on the A83 at Inverneill, was allegedly found to be driving without the required licence, insurance and tachograph. The man was reported for the offences and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Possession of drugs

About 11pm on Friday June 17 at the A83 near Snipefield Industrial Estate, police stopped and searched a man, aged 42, who was found to be in possession of cannabis. The man was issued with a recorded police warning.

Careless driving

About 5.30pm on Wednesday June 15 on the A819 at Inveraray, police witnessed a vehicle undertake a careless manoeuvre. The driver, a man aged 39, was issued with a Road Traffic ASBO warning.

Theft of bike

A black Forme mountain bike was stolen from a garden sometime between midday on June 5 and midday on June 6 at Seaside Park, Ardrishaig. Inquiries continue.
