Oban and Tiree high school pupils partied the night away at their first summer prom since Covid.

About 300 pupils from S4 to S6 enjoyed the dance organised by Oban’s Senior Pupil Leadership Team at the Corran Halls.

Band Ceol an Aire, featuring former pupils, led the ceilidh with past student Sam Coates on DJ duty.

Head teacher Peter Bain said: ‘It was thrilling to see all our youngsters back in the Corran Halls thoroughly enjoying themselves. My thanks to all the seniors who helped Mrs Jackson lead the event and to all the staff for their supervision and clean up duties. I’m looking forward to many more successful dances.’
