Speeding driver

About 7.45pm on Saturday June 4 at the A85 near Dalmally, police stopped a vehicle allegedly driving in excess of the speed limit. The driver, a man aged 19, was charged and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Culpable & Reckless Behaviour

Between 6.45pm on Thursday 2nd and 10.50am on Friday 3rd June 2022 at MacCallum Court, Etive Road, Dunbeg the wheel nuts to a parked Silver Mercedes 350 motor vehicle were allegedly loosened by unknown persons later causing the wheel to fall off when driven. Enquiries continue and Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555.

 

 

Possession of an Offensive Weapon

About 4pm on Tuesday 7th June 2022 at Main Street, Connel Village, Police searched a man who was allegedly found to be concealing a large knife. Police recovered the knife and the man (18) was arrested and charged. He was detained in Police Custody to appear at Oban Sheriff Court the following day.

 

 

Abusive Behaviour

About midday on Wednesday 25th May 2022 at the Glen Orchy Road, a man driving a Gold coloured VW Golf motor vehicle did shout and swear at another motorist. Enquiries continue and Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555.

 

Road Traffic Collision

About 2.50pm on Saturday 4th June 2022 within Tesco Car Park, Lochside Street, Oban, the driver of a Silver Kia Creed motor vehicle allegedly collided with 2 pedestrians. Enquiries continue and Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555.

 

 

 

 

MAKI

Abusive Behaviour

About 8.30pm on Monday 6th June 2022 at Shore Street, Campbeltown, a man (41) allegedly behaved in an abusive manner. Police arrested the man and he was later issued with a Recorded Police Warning.

 

 

Careless & Inconsiderate Driving

About 7pm on Saturday 4th June 2022 at Frederick Crescent, Isle of Islay, the driver of a Blue Ford Fiesta motor vehicle was allegedly causing his car to make excessive noise to the annoyance of residents. The driver, a man (18) was issued with an anti-social behaviour order ticket and his car was duly seized.

 

 

Assault

About 3am on Saturday 11th June 2022 at Easfield, Tarbert, a man (35) allegedly assaulted a man and a woman and smashed a television. Police arrested and charged the man and he was released to appear at Campbeltown Sheriff Court at a later date. A report was sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

 

 

Motoring Offences

About 6pm on Sunday 12th June 2022 at the A83 Ardcastle, a woman (54) allegedly drove a Suzuki Vitara motor vehicle without a valid policy of insurance or valid MOT certificate. Police seized the vehicle and the woman was cautioned and charged. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

 

 

Between 4am and 11am on Wednesday 8th June 2022 within a field near to Main Street West, Inverary, a grey Apple iPad Pro was stolen. Enquiries continue and Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555.
