BEITH – Jean Elspeth Beith née Telfer, beloved wife of Richard Beith, dearly loved mother of Kirsten, and much-loved sister of Anne, Ian and Torquil, passed away, aged 83, peacefully at Lorn and Islands Hospital on June 11, 2022. The funeral will take place at St John’s Cathedral, George Street, Oban on Tuesday, June 21 at 11.00 am. Cremation private.
MACCALLUM – Peacefully, with his daughter by his side on Friday, June 10, 2022, John Campbell MacCallum (Piper) aged 85 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Morag, loving dad of Mairi and Tony, a dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. Funeral service on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 12 noon in Kinlochleven Parish Church; thereafter to Kinlochmore Cemetery. Flowers welcome. Donations, if desired, to Abbeyfield Ballachulish can be given at the service or forwarded to Greenlees & Son Funeral Directors, Kilmallie Road, Caol PH33 7AR.
MCGRIGOR – Mary, Lady McGrigor (née Edmonstone) died peacefully at the age of 94 on the afternoon of June 11, 2022 at the Lorn and Islands Hospital in Oban. She was a devoted wife to her husband Sir Charles (1922-2007) and a loving mother to her four children Jamie, Lorna, Kirsty and Charlie, as well as a much-loved grandmother and great-grandmother. The funeral service will take place at Glenorchy and Innishail Parish Church, Dalmally on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 1.30pm and thereafter to Dalmally Cemetery.
MCGOUGAN – Campbell of Argyll, Lanarkshire and Ross-shire. Husband to the late Netta, father to Myra, Neil and Christine, died peacefully on June 5, 2022 after a short illness at Redwoods Care Home, Alness at 92 years of age. A special thanks to care home staff who made his last years very comfortable. The funeral service will be at D. Chisholm & Sons Funeral Home, Huntly Street, Inverness at 11am on June 21, 2022. Family flowers only, Donations to Marie Curie may be given at the door.
MACLELLAN – Marion Mary passed away peacefully at Etive House care home on June 6, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Donnie MacLellan, mother of Peter, Andrew and Alick; much loved aunt of Henry and Roy, and gran of Martin, Ross, Arianna, Millie, and Janey. great-grandmother of Brooke, Sienna and Lewis. Funeral will be held at Oban Parish Church on Friday, June 17, 1pm, followed by interment in Pennyfuir Cemetery. She will be sadly missed.
SILKOWSKI – (Appin). Suddenly, but peacefully, on June 11, 2022, whilst walking in the hills, Les, devoted husband of Issy, loving Dad to Kenneth and Gordon, Granda to Mariska and Connor, father-in-law to Heather. Cherished brother and uncle and respected friend to many. A Celebration of Life is being arranged for Appin with interment at Grantown on Spey.
TAYLOR – Meta Taylor passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Meta was a loving wife to Millar Taylor, mother to Moira, Fraser and Brian, Nana to Fraser and Kirsten and Great Nana to Iris. She spent the last four years of her life being cared for by all the amazing staff at Etive House in Benderloch. She will be greatly missed for her vigour, sturdiness and sharp wit.
ANDERSON – Andy and Christine wish to thank the many people who were so supportive following the very sad loss of Martin. From Perth and Lochaber and much further afield came cards and flowers so numerous that we were overwhelmed. From our hearts, thank you all so much, whether family or friends or neighbours. We must also thank Perth and Kinross Council and acknowledge the great help from Jamie, Tom and Beth at Manson and MacBeath the undertakers and Alyson Stewart of the Humanist Society.
CAMPBELL – The Campbell family would like to thank all those who attended the Celebration of Life Service for Donald Campbell, Camaghael. Our sincere thanks to all the Crossroads Lochaber Carers, Nurses and Morven Cameron who looked after Donald for years. Thank you to Robert Nairn, John Angus Gillies, Rev. Euan Dodds and Justin Cummings for their contribution to a lovely Service and Farewell. Special thanks to Maureen Robertson, Alice and Archie Campbell, David MacCallum and Kilmallie Free Church. Also to the Staff at John McLellan’s for their compassionate assistance with arrangements and to Lochaber Rural Education Trust and helpers for the beautiful refreshments. The wonderful sum of £850.35 was collected and shared between the Great Glen Sheep Dog Trial Society, Crossroads Lochaber and the Belford Hospital.
KENNEDY – (Invergarry). The family of the late Tot Kennedy would like to thank everyone for their help and support following the sad loss of their mam. Special thanks to ward 2C Raigmore Hospital, to John McLellan’s staff for their sensitive and efficient handling of the funeral arrangements, to the Rev. Jones for his comforting service, to Ranald for playing the organ in the church, to those who did the floral arrangements in the church and village hall, to all who helped with the beautiful funeral tea which was appreciated by everyone. Finally thanks to everybody who came to pay their respects at the church and graveside.
CAMPBELL – In loving memory of our dear parents, grandparents and in-laws, Angus D on April 27, 1981, Marion L on June 19, 2007 and our sisters and aunties Lexy, on July 27, 1989 and Jessie on November 20, 2019.
