This year’s Mod Aird nam Murchan (Ardnamurchan Mòd) takes place tomorrow (Friday June 17) boasting a good number of entries from Ardnamurchan’s five primary schools and Àrdsgoil Àird nam Murchan (Ardnamurchan High School).

The Mòd is being held in Ardsgoil Aird nam Murchan, Bun-Sgoil Sròn an t-Sithein (Strontian Primary School) and Arainn Shuaineirt (Sunart Centre) in Strontian.  Competitions start at 9am and carry on throughout the day until 5 pm.

The organising committee says it is delighted that, after a two-year gap without a Mòd, there is a long entry list, including competitiors from Mallaig, Mull and Fort William.

The Prizewinners’ Evening Concert in Arainn Shuaineirt starts at 7pm. All visitors are warmly welcomed during the day and for what promises to be a great evening of music and song at the concert.
