Glenfinnan Estate manager, Alistair Gibson, was joined by other members of the local community on Friday for the planting of an oak tree to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The tree was planted close to St Mary and St Finnan in Glenfinnan. The village is also the site of another tree with royal connections, which was planted to mark the visit of Queen Victoria on September 15, 1873.
A party of Hungarian tourists, visiting the church were delighted to be asked to join members of the local community for the photograph.
