RUTH – Martin and Deirdre (McCulloch) are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, James Robert McCulloch on May 19, 2022 at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. Brother for Elizabeth and second grandchild for Isabel and the late Joe, Glasgow and Bob and Ann, Oban.
BELL – Elizabeth Ann Bell (née Gray) passed surrounded by family on May 30, 2022. Betty aged 78 years of Braehead, Stirling, wife of the late Charlie, beloved mother to Grant, Carolynn and Alison. Sister-in-law of Christeen, Sheila, Fiona and the late Iain. Proud Gran to Bryce, Eilidh, Brooke and Caitlin. Sorely missed by all. Service will be held at 1pm on Friday, June 17 at North Parish Church, Stirling, then on to St. Thomas’s Cemetery. Flowers welcome. Co-op Funeral Parlour 01786 475848.
MACDONALD – Kenneth “Kenny” MacDonald passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Caroline, née Mackenzie, grampy of Catherine, and dad of Iona. Funeral will be held at Ballachulish village hall on Friday, June 10 at 12 noon, followed by interment in Duror Cemetery. All family, friends and neighbours are welcome to attend. He will be sorely missed.
MCNEILL – Peacefully at Ardfenaig Residential Home, Ardrishaig on June 1, 2022, Catherine McNeill née Graham, in her 79th year, of Tigh Beg, Minard. Principal of the Millburn Veterinary Practice, Coleraine. Beloved and loving wife of Leonard; much loved mother of Lorna and Judith; adored ‘Gran McNeill’ of Molly, Megan, Effie and Irah; dearly loved sister of Lorna. Much respected mother-in-law of Paul. A good neighbour and dear friend to many. A graveside service was held at Kilevin Cemetery, Crarae, Minard on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Catherine will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
NUDDS – Elizabeth (Betty) of Lynn Court (formerly Mossfield Drive). Peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2022, after a short illness, Betty, aged 92. Mum of Maureen and Mervyn, mum-in-law to Kenny and Maria, Granny to Karen and Peter, David and Jacqueline, Ali and Mairi, John and Mary and Great-Granny of Anika and Rhianna. Loved by us all.
THOMSON – Isobel T. Passed away peacefully at Etive House care home on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Dearly loved mum to June, Claire, Billy and Michael. Treasured sister to Douglas and Ethel. Devoted granny to Kerry, Lorna, Caroline, Roisin, Ellie-Maeve, Billy and Eilidh. Funeral service at Oban Parish Church on Wednesday, June 15, 12noon followed by a cremation service at Perth Crematorium, 2.00pm the following day.
CAMERON – Allan, Donald and all the family would like to thank everyone for all their lovely cards and flowers for Rosemary. Special thanks to D&A Munn for the funeral arrangements and all doctors, nurses and carers who looked after Rosemary.
GRACE – The family of the late Alda Grace of Lochaline, wishes to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, neighbours and well-wishers who visited our home, attended the service and burial and who provided emotional and practical support for us at this difficult time. For those who phoned, travelled long distances, sent flowers, cards and messages of condolences, as well as those who kindly made a charitable donation to Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland, we are truly grateful. MACCORMICK – Moira MacCormick. Duncan, Mairi and Iain would like to thank everyone for their support during the recent loss of Moira. Thanks go to Rev S Brown, CBE BD and Rev J McNeil for the conducting of the service of thanksgiving and celebration of her life. We wish to thank Andrew Anderson & Sons, in particular Ross, for the excellent service provided throughout. MORRISON – The family of the late Katie Ann Morrison wish to thank all relatives and friends for the lovely cards, flowers, phone calls and messages received following her passing. Thanks to Rev Dr Angus Morrison for the comforting service and fitting eulogy, to Rev Iain Morrison for his contributions both at the service and previous evening, to Duncan MacLean for leading the singing of mums favourite Psalms and to Father James MacNeil for his pastoral visits and care shown to mum whilst in Etive House and hospital. (Tapadh Leibh). Sincere and heartfelt thanks to Ian and Shiralene of D&A Munn for all their care, compassion and organising with the funeral arrangements. Thanks to Justine from The Thistle and The Rose for the beautiful floral arrangements in mums favourite colours. Thanks to the manager and staff at Soroba House for the lovely food and hospitality. Special thanks to Dr M Boyle for all his care of mum over many years and staff at LMC and Connel Surgeries. Not least to staff at Carers Direct, Carr Gomm, Etive House, Ward I and A for their care and compassion shown to mum whilst she was in their care the family wish to extend their most sincere gratitude and thanks.
