Oban Inner Wheel put their best feet forward to help raise more than £500 for  Argyll Wellbeing Hub with a charity Walk With Us event in Oban.

Inner Wheel president Lynda Oxland and club convener Morag Mackinnon thanked everyone who took part on May 15.

The event marked the end of Mental Health Awareness week and was made possible with the generous support and help from members of Rotary Club of Oban and volunteers from the Coastguards and Mountain Rescue. BID4Oban helped with funding.

Around 50 people of all ages took part and following a choice of mapped routes, all starting from Station Square.

Donations were received from participants, including from a JustGiving page, which all brought in the fantastic sum of £541 for Argyll Wellbeing Hub.

‘Fortunately, the weather was favourable and many people came into the Corran Halls for a welcome tea and biscuits provided by Argyll Wellbeing Hub.

‘There, they could also spend time meeting and chatting with some other voluntary groups in the town who are involved in mental health and wellbeing,’ said Inner Wheel representative Liz Crawford.

Family support charity Home Start Lorn was also there.
