Pupils and parents of Bun-Sgoil Ghaidhlig Loch Abar, backed by their friends and families, have raised more than £2,000 through a sponsored walk from the school in Caol to Fort William.
A long line of walkers set off from the school around 10.30am last Saturday enjoying the dry weather as they walked to Cameron Square. They were met at Fort William underpass by a piper, who led them along the High Street.
After a brief stop for lunch, the children formed a choir to entertain onlookers with Gaelic songs, while collecting donations.
All money raised will be used to improve the playground, including adding new equipment.

Gu ruige seo tha sgoilearan, pàrantan, teaghlaichean is caraidean aig Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Loch Abar air barrachd is £2,000 a thogail tro bhith a’ dèanamh cuairt eadar An Caol agus An Gearasdan.
Thòisich loidhne fada de luchd-pàirteachaidh bhon sgoil aig 10.30m Disathairne, is iad uile a’ cur fàilte air an deagh shìde. Choinnich pìobaire riutha airson an sgrìob mu dheireadh agus rinn iad caismeachd tron àrd-shràid gu Ceàrnag Chamshroin.
Às dèidh greim-bìdh, chum na sgoilearan cèilidh bheag far an deach còisir a chruthachadh agus sheinn iad grunn òrain Ghàidhlig dhan luchd-èisteachd, far an deach barrachd tiodhlacan a thogail.
Thèid uile an t-airgead a chaidh a thogail mu choinneamh leasachadh a thoirt air an raon-chluich aig BSGLA, rudeigin a bheireas tlachd dhan òigridh air fad.
