It looks like players and fans will not have long to wait to discover who the new manager will be to lead Fort William FC into the new season.

The Lochaber Times recently reported on the decision by Shadab Iftikhar that he would not be staying on as manager of the Claggan Park club for a second season citing other football commitments overseas as his reason.

The club will hold its annual annual general meeting this coming Sunday, June 5, from noon at Claggan Park.

Asked to comment on the search for a new manager, the club told the Lochaber Times this week that there had been ‘plenty of good applications’ from across the UK and one of the candidates would be selected once the AGM was passed.
