Oban’s Robert MacIntyre returns to action this week when he tees it up in the Porsche European Open in Hamburg Germany.

It will be Bob’s first competitive golf since his disappointing weekend at the USPGA championship in Oklahoma, and with his world ranking having fallen to 86, it gives him a real opportunity to climb the rankings again.

With the US open only a fortnight away and only the world’s top 60 guaranteed a place, the left-hander knows a strong performance is vital to give him the chance to play in his third major championship of the year and get set for the upcoming busy schedule, including the Scottish Open and 150th Open Championship at St Andrews.
