Fort William-based solicitors and estate agents MacPhee and Partners have announced the promotion of Billie Smith to be a partner of the firm.

Ms Smith joined the firm as a trainee solicitor and, said the company, has gone from strength to strength since qualifying in 2017.

She specialises in the fields of Family Law (separations, divorce, pre/post-nups,
cohabitee rights, children, adoptions etc) and private client (wills, powers of attorney,
guardianships and executries).

And, having been instructed in a variety of high value and complex cases over the years, she was crowned winner of the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ category at the prestigious Scottish Legal Awards last September.

Managing Partner Christine Mackay said: ‘All of us at MacPhee and Partners are delighted to announce Billie’s promotion and to welcome her to our management team.

‘She has been a real asset to us since commencing her traineeship a number of years
ago and her commitment to her clients and the firm, has been exceptional.  This is a
very well deserved promotion.’
