There were only five matches in last Sunday’s FIFW session as SLT Galacticos had an enforced free week due to Fort Ballers merging with Lochaber Rangers, reducing the League to 11 teams.
This compounded a weekend of no football for the South Lochaber Thistle 1st team players after their Glasgow Premier League match was called off as no venue was available for their home fixture.
While Galacticos already have an almost unassailable lead at the top of the table, three points clear of their nearest rivals, their goal differential stands at +62. Well ahead of second placed The Goon Squad with +17 followed by BSW with +8.
A win for Lochaber Rugby Club, who scored 11 goals to Seagull City’s 2, saw them swap places in the standings with the very strong Rugby side moving to fifth place.
Fourth placed Hamilton Alchies had a good win of 10-3 against TSL who have one win and one draw to their credit while Kinlochleven FC chalked up their second victory by beating Lochaber Rangers 3-0.
Week 7 results: Christmas Crackers 4 v 5 BSW Sawmill; Kinlochleven FC 3 v 0 Lochaber Rangers; The Goon Squad 3 v TSL; Hamilton Alkies 10 v 3 AMP; Seagull City 2 v Lochaber Rugby 11; SLT Galacticos free week.
