Beloved husband of the late Alison MacAlpine Downie, loving father to Jamie and Ethel, much loved Grampa to Aimee, Harry, Charlie and Jack and friend to many. Service to be held at Cardross Crematorium on Wednesday, May 18 at 2.15pm and thereafter to Cardross Golf Club for light refreshments. A memorial service will then take place at Appin Parish Church on Wednesday, June 1 at 11am.
CUNNINGHAM – Annie (née Carmichael). Peacefully at Glasgow Royal Infirmary on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Ann, wife of the late Jim (formerly of Clachan Seil), mother of Cindy and Rory, grandmother to Hannah, Sarah, Fraser, Rachel and great-grandmother to Molly and Felix. FORSYTH – (Golspie). Peacefully in the loving care of all at the Meadows Nursing Home, Dornoch and with his dear family by his side on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, Rev. James Forsyth, aged 84 years, (retired Church of Scotland minister at Fearn, Taynuilt, Contin, Fortrose and Rosemarkie and Bellshill, Glasgow), Rhives Lodge, Golspie, beloved husband of Vivienne, dearly loved dad of Josie, Leona and Janferie, a much loved grandpa and great-grandpa to all his grandchildren, a dear friend and colleague to many. Funeral service was held in St. Andrews Church of Scotland, Golspie on Wednesday, May 18 at 1 p.m. Thereafter to Golspie Cemetery. MACCORMICK – Rev. Moira Grace. Peacefully on May 11, 2022, after a short illness, Moira, loving wife of Duncan, mum to Mairi and Iain and Nana to Evie. Funeral service will take place in Buchlyvie Parish Church on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11am to which family and friends are cordially invited to attend. MACLACHLAN – On May 16, 2022, peacefully at home, Moira Anne MacLachlan, née Tough, in her 75th year, beloved wife of Kenneth MacLachlan and much loved mother of Derek and Paula, dearly loved sister of Alison and the late Elspeth and dear friend of many. A private family cremation will take place at Cardross Crematorium.
MACLEAN – Neil Donald of Dervaig, Isle of Mull on Sunday, May 15, 2022, passed away peacefully at Mull & Iona Community Hospital. Grateful thanks to the hospital staff, GPs and community nurses for their devoted care and attention. McNAIR – Peacefully at Ardfenaig Residential Home, Ardrishaig on May 13, 2022, Alasdair McNair, in his 93rd year, of Stroneskar, Ford, by Lochgilphead. Beloved husband of Sheena Murray, much loved father of Duncan and the late Sandy. Cherished Grandpa of Ross, Calleigh and Ellie. WEMYSS – (Beauly). Isabella (Isa) passed away peacefully, in the care of staff of Heather Suite, Daviot Care Home on May 13, 2022, aged 88 years. Beloved wife of Kenny, loving mam to Alison, Caroline, Jennifer and the late Kenneth, cherished granny, great-granny and a good friend to many. Funeral service is to be held at East Church, Muir of Ord on Monday, May 23, 2022, commencing at 12pm, thereafter to Urray Cemetery. All friends are respectfully invited. MALCOLM – Kim Malcolm, late of Cuil Bay, Duror. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11am at St Adamnan’s Church, Duror. Refreshments after at the Duror and Kentallen Community Centre. All welcome.
CAMPBELL – The family of the late Georgina Campbell (Ena) would like to give their heartfelt thanks to all relatives, friends and neighbours for their support, letters, cards and phone calls with messages of sympathy and flowers received following the sad loss of Ena. The Revd Jan Steyn for his visits to Ena whilst she was in hospital, kind words and comforting funeral service. Organist Alasdair Smith for the music including some family requests. Piper Callum Wynd who piped the cortège from the Kirk to the cemetery as Ena requested. Nurses at Ward 1 in Clackmannan Community Hospital for the care given to Ena. Roy & McIntyre Funeral Directors for their caring professional funeral arrangements. Dunmar House hotel for the good food and refreshments. The sum of £1300 was raised in Ena’s memory and will be donated to Logie Kirk.
FRASER – Derek, Rhona, Fraser and Hayley would like to thank all relatives, neighbours and friends for their kind messages, calls and cards following the loss of Elma. Thanks to the carers, nurses, all at Tweeddale Surgery. Special thanks to Mabel Wallace for the beautiful service, to John Cameron organist for Elma’s favourite tunes. SINCLAIR – Peter and Margaret and family would like to sincerely thank everyone for the many kind expressions of sympathy, cards, flowers and support received following the sad loss of Dad (Iain). Special thanks to all staff at Tarbert Medical Practice, the Tarbert Home Care team, Carr Gomm carers, Naomi and Tanya, Lois of Marie Curie Cancer Care, and all family, friends and the community for the kind care and attention received, enabling Dad to remain at home, as he had wished.
