Oban Hospice Dove Centre and the British Red Cross Ukraine Appeal have both been given £500 by Oban and District Classic Vehicle Club.

Club chairman Kevin Devine said: ‘This is money that has been collected at shows which the car club attended and from activities held at club nights. Hopefully it will help both these good causes in the good work they do.’

He added: ‘We have not had any shows during the last two years due to the pandemic but hope to get out and about more this year. We had ten cars attending the Stirling and District Classic Car Club Show at Bridge of Allan on Sunday and we are having our Annual Father’s Day Show at Corrachie Clematis, Bridge of Awe, and our Motorfest Event in Station Square, Oban, on Sunday September 18, as well as attending other events over the next few months.’
