There were congratulations and birthday wishes galore this week when Mrs Daisy Black, of Inverlochy, celebrated her 100th birthday.
Family members, friends and neighbours brought cards and gifts to mark the big day and there was also the traditional card of best wishes from The Queen.
Now a great-grandmother, Mrs Black has lived in Inverlochy for the past 60 years after moving from Morayshire.
‘My mum’s in very good health and really enjoyed her birthday celebrations. A big thank you to all the friends, family and neighbours who gave cards and gifts, and made the day extra special,’ said Mrs Black’s daughter, Dora Mount, this week.
There was also an additional surprise when some of the pupils of Inverlochy Primary School called on Inverlochy’s newest centenarian to sing Happy Birthday.
