About 3.30pm on Saturday April 23 near Norrie’s Chip Shop, George Street, Oban, a man allegedly stole a wallet from another man before running off.  There was a short foot chase and the victim caught up with the suspect who threw the wallet onto the shore.  The suspect attempted to get into a taxi and was last seen going along Stevenson Street, Oban.  Enquiries continue.

Careless driving

About 3.40pm on Sunday April 24 on A85, near junction to Carraig Thura Hotel, Loch Awe, it is alleged a driver carried out a careless overtake manoeuvre in a silver VW Amarok causing the person who reported the incident to take evasive action and brake suddenly to allow the suspect to return to his own lane before a head on collision occurred. Enquiries continue.

Threatening behaviour

About 3pm on Monday April 25 at George Street, Oban, it is alleged that a woman was verbally abused by another woman.  Enquiries continue.

Fail to stop

About 12.53pm on Tuesday April 26 at Ledaig Car Park, Tobermory, Isle of Mull, it is alleged that a white Peugeot motorhome reversed into the rear offside of a parked red VW Tiguan causing damage.  The driver did not stop and check or leave details.  Enquiries continue.

Assault allegation

About 4.20am on Thursday April 28 at the footpath near to Oban Backpackers, Breadalbane Street, Oban, it is alleged a man was repeatedly punched to his head and face to his minor injury.  A 45-year-old man was arrested and charged and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Road accident

Between 4pm on Friday April 29 and 2.25pm on April 30 at Colonsay Terrace, Oban, it a blue Ford Fiesta was damaged while parked and unattended. The offside passenger door panel received damage to its paint work.  Enquiries continue.
