Mull Music Festival turned Tobermory into one big party at the weekend.

Revellers descended on the harbour town for live music and good craic starting last Thursday and ending on Sunday.

Even the sun turned out, adding to the happy vibes throughout the festival that finally made a come back after a three-year absence due to a fire that gutted venue Macgochan’s on the waterfront and then because of the pandemic.

Campervans and motorhomes still set up camp in Ledaig car park but it was not as tightly packed as previous years when safety concerns were triggered.

Festivalgoers arrived by road, ferry, foot, bike and small boats to join in the fun.

Janice Duffy who is a Mull Music Festival veteran, dressed up as pirate, especially for the occasion – and so did her friends.

‘It’s been three long years without it but it’s back with a bang and we’ve come dressed as the Pirates of Tobermory to celebrate!’ said Janice.

The town was heaving, giving a boost to many High Street businesses.

Popular duo The Laurettes put in an appearance on Friday and Saturday at Macgochans – Chunks, Atlantic Reel, Gunna Sound and lots more were also in the line-up bringing a mix of trad music, original tunes and covers.

Other festival venues included the Mishnish, the Tobermory Hotel and Park Lodge.
