CAMPBELL – Peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2022 in the tender care of the staff at Ward 1, Clackmannan Community Hospital, Georgina (Ena), dearly loved wife of Peter and much-loved mother of Donald, John and Malcolm. Mother-in-law to Liz, our angel Irene and Joyce. Beloved grandmother to Calum, Jamie, Eilidh and Ben and great-grandmother to Emillie, Baillie and Amelia. A very good friend to many and will be sadly missed. A service of celebration for Ena’s life will take place at Logie Kirk, Stirling on Monday, May 9 at 1pm thereafter to Logie Cemetery followed by refreshments at Inglewood House Hotel, Alloa to which all friends and family are respectfully invited.
CRITCHLEY – Neville of Roy Bridge, Lochaber died in hospital after a brief illness on April 13, 2022, aged 92. Loved by his family and fondly remembered by former pupils, he leaves his wife Helen, children Oliver and Ben, and four grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 2pm on May 13 in St Margaret’s Church, Roy Bridge, followed by burial in Blarour Cemetery, Spean Bridge, amid the landscape he loved. No flowers, please, but donations to the Belford Hospital, Fort William would be welcome.
HILL – Suddenly on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Kenneth (Ken), aged 76 years. Beloved husband of June (née Davies) and much loved father and grandfather. A graveside service will take place at Pennyfuir Cemetery on Friday, April 29, 1.00pm. All welcome. Family flowers only – thank you.
KENNEDY – John Duncan Kennedy (Ian – Burnside), died at home on April 15, 2022, on his beloved Isle of Coll, as was his wish. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and carers who made it possible. Sons Stewart and Ian and nieces Janice and Patricia thank all who attended his funeral. Thanks also to the Voluntary Fire Brigade for the special recognition of one of your own.
MACDOUGALL – Douglas (Dougie) on April 22, 2022, age 71, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Isabelle (Issy), a much loved Dad to Andrew and Sarah, Grandfather (D) to Finlay and Isla, a dear father-in-law to Greg and Sarita, loving brother and uncle and good friend to many. Dougie’s funeral will take place at Skipton Crematorium on Tuesday, May 3 at 11.40am. No flowers by request, but if desired, donations in memory of Dougie will be shared between Manorlands and HODU. They will be received at the funeral or c/o Brook Smith and Son Funeral Services, Bunkers Hill, Skipton, BD23 1HU.
McEACHERN – Elspeth. Peacefully on April 15, 2022 at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Beloved wife of the late Bobby, a much loved mum of Anne and Margaret. A loving grandmother of Kirsty and dear sister of Ila, John and the late Morag. Funeral service took place Thursday, April 28 at Hillhead Parish Church, Kirkintilloch thereafter at Old Aisle Cemetery. Donations received on behalf of Christian Aid in memory of Elspeth.
CARGILL – Margaret, Jaynie, Fiona and family would like to thank relatives, friends and neighbours for the kindness shown to them following the sad loss of Robert. Sincere thanks to Ian and Shiralene of D&A Munn for the very compassionate and personal handling of the funeral arrangements. To Aileen Binner for a beautiful service and Andy Henderson, organist. Thanks to Petals for flowers and Soroba House for excellent catering. Finally thanks to all who attended the funeral and generously donated the sum of £1125.00 for ABCD.
