The draw for the 2022 MacTavish Cup semi-finals has been made with Kingussie hosting either Lovat or Kilmallie in their bid to win the trophy for the first time since 2011 and inaugural winners Skye Camanachd welcoming four-time champions Caberfeidh.

The draw was made by Glenurquhart Primary School pupils who were kitted out with t-shirts, bags and water bottles emblazoned with the new MacTavish Cup logo as a reward for their help.

Camanachd Association chief executive officer Derek Keir said: ‘It was great to involve a community steeped in shinty history by holding the draw at Blairbeg Park.

‘Everyone is looking forward to two exciting semi-finals as well as the culmination of this great competition on June 11.’’s Luke Smith said: ‘ is committed to getting out into the communities that we serve and we have done that by having draws all across the north of Scotland including Newtonmore, Skye and Drumnadrochit.

‘It is incredible to see the benefits of our investment in shinty through the opportunities created for young people. We wish all teams the best of luck for the next round.’
