BROUGH – Jean, peacefully at Lorn and Islands Hospital on April 13, 2022. Beloved wife of Tom, dearly loved mum, grandma, sister-in-law, aunty and friend. She will be sorely missed and is deeply loved by all who knew her.
MACDOUGALL – Murdoch (Jock) passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday, April 14, 2022, after his battle with cancer. Much loved father of Mikey, stepfather of Christine and Susan, beloved partner of Jacqui, dearly loved brother of Flora and grandfather to Kiera and Harris. Murdoch was very active in the community and his loss will be deeply felt. A Requiem Mass will be held at St Columba’s Cathedral on Monday, April 25, 10.00am followed by a Celebration of Life Service at The Argyllshire Gathering Halls, 1.00pm. At Murdoch’s request ~ no flowers please. There will be a collection of donations for The Dove Centre at the Cathedral and Celebration of Life Service.
McKENZIE – Peacefully at the Belford Hospital on Good Friday, April 15, 2022. Elspeth McKenzie (Caledonian Apartments, Corpach) formerly of Swordle Farm, Ardnamurchan. Loving wife of the late Alasdair McKenzie. Dearly loved mother of Gordon and Jane, mother-in-law to John and much loved Granny to Emma, Laura and Megan. Funeral service on Friday, April 29 at 1pm in Fort William – Kilmallie (Duncansburgh) Church, followed by an interment at Kilmallie Cemetery, Corpach. All family and friends welcome.
SPENCE – Peacefully on April 11, 2022, Hughina Spence, Tobermory, Isle of Mull, aged 69 years. Dearly loved wife of Blair, sadly missed. Funeral to be held at Tobermory Top Cemetery on Thursday, April 21 at 11.30am.
MACCOLL – The family of the late Donald MacColl would like to give their heartfelt thanks to all their family and friends for all their support, cards, phone calls, flowers, visits and messages of sympathy they received following their loss. Thanks to all the team at Inveraray Surgery and the staff at Wards A and B at Lorn and Islands for their wonderful care. Thanks to D & A Munn Limited for their kindness and professionalism, Brambles for their catering and Anne’s girls for their help back at the house. Thanks to Dorothy Wallace for a beautiful, personal service and to John Hunt for playing Donald’s favourite tunes on the bagpipes. Thanks to everyone who attended the service, we can’t convey how much it meant to us to see you all there to give Donald such a wonderful send off.
MACDONALD – Angus, Duncan, Maureen, Hamish, Sheena and families would like to thank most sincerely all family, friends and neighbours for the lovely flowers, cards and messages of sympathy on the sad loss of our mum Hazel. A big thank you to all the carers in Invernevis House for their care and kindness over the past three years, and to the doctors at Craig Nevis surgery who attended to mum over the years. Thank you to Mr Skene and Jade for the comforting service and to Mr. Sidgwick for his fitting tribute to mum. To John Cameron, the organist, Sandy Mackenzie, the piper and MacDonald Brothers for the floral tributes. Thanks to all at McLellan Funeral Directors for their care, compassion and professionalism. Thanks to John and Alison for the lovely buffet, to David for serving in the bar and to all who helped set up and clear the hall. And finally, a special thank you to all who attended and gave so much support on the day. The sum of £574.60 was raised in Hazel’s memory and will be donated to Friends of Invernevis.
MACKAY – (Inverness). Robert (Bob), Mairi and Iain would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many relatives, friends and neighbours for the kind expressions of sympathy extended to them, and also to everyone who attended the funeral service of their Mum, Isabel MacKay. To all at Kingsmills Medical Practice, staff at Raigmore Hospital and the RNI as well as all community staff, thank you for your care and support. Special thanks to Rev.
