Royal British Legion Scotland’s Easdale branch welcomed Depute Lieutenant Jamie Mellor and Mrs Morag Mellor to a special lunch to celebrate 100 years since its inauguration.

Members and guests enjoyed the meal at the Tigh an Truish Inn, heard of the long history of the Easdale branch from chairman Ron Hetherington and toasted Her Majesty The Queen, the branch and the Royal British Legion Scotland.

‘A most enjoyable event was had,’ said the longest serving branch member Mary Sandilands who was invited to cut the specially-baked birthday cake.
