CRAWFORD – FORSYTH – On March 19, 2022, Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, Fergus, elder son of Andy and Susan, grandson of Gregor and Joyce and Helen and the late Neil Clark, to Amy, younger daughter of Rob and Cath.
CAMPBELL – John Campbell, Ariundle, Strontian, died peacefully at the Belford Hospital on March 25, 2022. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service that shall take place at Strontian Parish Church of Scotland at 12 noon on Friday, April 1, 2022, and thereafter to Drimnatorran Cemetery.
DONNELLY – At Lorn and Islands Hospital, on Mother’s Day, Isabella Blanche Donnelly, née Watson, aged 90. Beloved wife of the late Bill, big sister of Elsie, loving mother of Moira and the late Linda, mother-in-law to Sandy and Daniel, adored and adoring Gran of Joy, Andrew, Callum, Ruaraidh and Steven. Blanche was a kind and gentle, hard-working lady – mere words cannot sum up a life lived quietly and well.
MACDONALD – Peacefully, at home in Tobermory, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, March 26, 2022, Archie MacDonald, formerly of 7 Angus Terrace Oban. Dearly beloved husband of Janet (Tandy), and much loved Dad of John, Angus, Colin and Malcolm, father-in-law to Emma, Jacqui, Helen and Leanne, and proud Granda of Jack, Archie, Stuart, Amy, Eilidh, Alasdair, Angus and Elsie. Funeral will take place from Tobermory Free Church on Thursday, April 7 at 11.30am, thereafter to Tobermory Old Cemetery.
MACKAY – Peacefully, on March 24, 2022, having recently celebrated her 90th birthday, Isabel MacKay (née Nicol), formerly of Kinlochleven and Fort William. Retired teacher, Cradlehall Primary School, Inverness. Wife of the late Ian, much loved Mum of Robert, Mairi and Iain. Proud Gran of Ruari, Alexander, Kara and Hannah. Big sister to John, George, Mary, also the late Robert and David. Supportive mother-in-law to Ronald and Karen and friend to many. Funeral details available from Arrangements by John Fraser & Son of Chapel Street, Inverness.
PATTERSON – Patricia, after a long illness Trish passed away at home in Ellenabeich on March 22, 2022. Wife to Steve, daughter to Hazel and sister to Carol Ann and Colin. Her radiating smile and infectious laugh will be missed by everyone she encountered.
SKINNER – After a long illness, borne with fortitude and quiet dignity, Donald, formerly of Oban and latterly Glasgow, passed away in the Beatson Hospital, Glasgow on March 24, 2022. Much loved husband of Meg and loving father of David and Morven, father-in-law to Ana and Alex and doting grandfather of five. There will be a private burial on April 4, followed by a memorial service at 12 noon at St Paul’s Church, Milngavie, to which all friends are warmly invited.
WELLS – William John. M.I.C.E. aged 87 years residing at Taynuilt. At Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban, on March 17, 2022. Bill was a devoted gentle husband to Chris, for sixty two years, father to Sarah and Helen, and proud Grandad to Joshua, Jessica, Caelan and Lexi. His love of his family and gentle nurturing will be greatly missed. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Muckairn Church, Taynuilt at 2 pm, and afterwards at Taynuilt Village Hall. We thank hospital staff for their care of Bill, and neighbours and friends for the loving messages and kindness over the past years of Bill’s life.
CAMPBELL – Marie, passed away on April 5, 2019, David (The Bear), passed away on February 5, 2012, Richard (Digger), passed away on April 15, 2015 and Charlie, passed away on March 8, 2003.
I cannot bring the old days back
When we were all together
