GOLDEN WEDDING
MACLACHLAN – TOUGH – On March 22, 1972 at Inveraray and Glenaray Parish Church by the Rev. David Kellas, Kenneth to Moira Anne. ‘Time flies when you are having fun’.

DEATHS
ASHER – Susan Asher of Cruachan View, North Connel. Wife, mother, granny, friend, lifelong inspiration and source of joy and comfort to Norman, Peter, Kirsty, Jane, Suzy, Chantelle, Liam, Mia, Scott and so many others, died peacefully and with great dignity on Saturday, March 12, 2022 after a short illness. We will be celebrating her humour, warmth and life on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 11.30 a.m., at the Victory Hall, Benderloch and afterwards to the Lochnell Arms Hotel, North Connel. Black attire not essential and in lieu of flowers, we would ask that donations be made to Cancer Research via the link www.susanasher.muchloved.com

CHURCH – Joyce Catherine, formerly of Broombank, Dalmally, and before that of Croggan Crafts, Dalmally, passed away peacefully at Etive House Care Home on March 17, 2022. Much loved by family and friends. A service will be held at the graveside at Glenorchy Cemetery on Monday, March 28 at 12 noon. Family flowers only.

MACKAY – Peacefully at Cornhill Hospice, Perth, on March 14, 2022, after a short illness, Gordon, aged 65 years, formerly of Toberonochy, Luing and latterly Skye. Brother of John, Sheena and Mairi. Sadly missed by all.

MARTIN – Molly, Bunessan, Isle of Mull, passed away suddenly but very peacefully with her eldest granddaughter Michelle by her side on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Lorn and Islands Hospital. A very treasured mother to Iain, Mairi, Katie, Kenny, Rhoda and Angie. Loving granny to her grandchildren and devoted ‘ Tha Mha’ to her twelve great-grandsons. Sadly missed by all who knew her. ‘Gus Am Bris An Latha’.

STEVENSON – (Buckie/Stronsay/Orkney). Peacefully, at his home in Shearer Avenue, Buckie on Thursday, March 17, 2022, Colin Chalmers Stevenson, aged 90 years. Beloved husband of Pearl Miller, dearly loved dad of Marie and Ann and a much loved ‘DAPS’, brother and good friend to many. Funeral private at his own request.

WYETH WEBB – Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow on Saturday, March 12, 2022, Patricia Campbell, beloved wife of the late John. Service at Cardross Crematorium on Friday, March 25 at 2.15 p.m. Memorial service to be held in Appin Parish Church on Saturday, April 9 at 11.00 a.m., thereafter ashes interred at Holy Cross. All friends are respectfully invited to both services. Sadly missed.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
CLEETON – All the family of Jean Cleeton would like to give their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone for all of the lovely cards, flowers and messages of sympathy received during this difficult time. Many thanks to all of the staff at D & A Munn for all of their outstanding help with the arrangement of the funeral, they have been a godsend in providing guidance and support to us for which we cannot thank them enough. Thanks to Petals for the gorgeous flower arrangements in memory of Mum, they were perfect. Thanks to Soroba House Hotel for providing the fantastic refreshments on the day. Thanks to Andy Matthews for piping at Mum’s service and graveside, she would have been listening with the happiest wee smile on her face. Many thanks to all who attended the service and donated to the collection. Also, a huge thanks needed to all of the staff at Oban Community Carers for their extremely high quality levels of care that allowed Mum to remain peaceful and settled in her own home. Words truly cannot express how grateful we are to everyone involved in giving Mum a beautiful send-off, we are overwhelmed by all of the love and support.

KENNEDY – Lorne, Martyn, Ig, Kyle and all the family of the late Irene Joan Kennedy would like to thank all relatives and friends near and far for the many kind expressions of sympathy, cards, flowers, visits, phone calls and messages received after their sad loss. Thanks to GP’s and staff at Lorn Medical Centre, Oban. Sincere thanks to Reverend Allan Millar for his comforting service, friendship and pastoral care, to Joyce MacInnes Organist and the Heylipol church elders. Special thanks to Catriona Hoey and staff at Hamish Hoey and Son funeral directors, Andy Hayes and Andy Wright at the Co-operative for their professional service. To Lynette at Petals for all the beautiful floral tributes. To Fiona and all staff at The Lodge Hotel for the lovely purvey and finally a heartfelt thanks to all who travelled near and far to attend church and graveside. The sum of £865 was collected for Cancer Research UK and Eadar Glinn Resident Fund.

LAWSON – The family of the late Linda Lawson would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for their kindness, support and messages of sympathy extended to them following their loss. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Ward A, Lorn and Islands Hospital. We are also grateful to the carers and district nurses for their longer term care and dedication. Thanks also to Aileen Binner for her comforting service, to Hamish Hoey and Son for their caring and professional funeral arrangements and to all those that paid their respects at the Parish Church and the graveside. Generous donations to the tribute page came to £493.90 for Macmillan Cancer support, including gift aid.
