STEWART – MUNRO – Faye and Jamie are delighted to announce the safe arrival of Sophie-Rainn on February 25, 2022. A wee sister for David and Jade and fourth grandchild for Kay and Allan, Taynuilt and Ewen and the late Joyce, Oban.
SINCLAIR – After a long illness, Finlay of Bridgend, Islay, aged 83 years, passed away on February 24, 2022, beloved husband of Mary MacIsaac and much loved father to Angus, father in-law to Ann, and Papa to Zoe and Isla and to brother John. Funeral service was held in the Round Church, Bowmore followed by interment in Bowmore Cemetery on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
WATSON – Ronald. At the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley, on March 4, 2022, Ronald (formerly of Loch Leven Hotel), beloved husband of the late Betty, much loved dad, grandpa and great-grandpa. Funeral service to which all friends are respectfully invited on Friday, March 18 at Woodside Crematorium, Paisley at 10.30am. No flowers please. Donations in lieu to Alzheimer Scotland.
BLUE – The family of Joan Blue would like to express their sincere thanks to all relatives and friends for the kindness and sympathy shown to them during their recent bereavement. Also, for all the cards and messages received and to all who donated to Marie Curie. Thanks to all NHS staff who looked after Joan during her long illness. Thanks to the district nurses, Marie Curie staff and carers who looked after Joan latterly at home. Thanks also to Catriona and staff at Hamish Hoey for all the funeral arrangements and catering and a special thank you to Aileen Binner for her guidance and comforting funeral service.
FRASER – (Invergarry). Aileen, Keith, Catriona and Heather wish to thank most sincerely all relatives, friends and neighbours for the kind expressions of sympathy extended to them following their recent loss of Helen. Special thanks to the staff at Cill Chuimein Surgery, the district nurses and all the carers. Sincere thanks to Reverend Anthony Jones for his comforting service, to Ranald MacKenzie for his lovely music, to Bell and Phillipa for the beautiful flowers and to all who helped serve the lovely lunch at the Community Hall, Invergarry. Many thanks to all who attended the funeral service and donated so generously the amount of £600 to Highland Hospice. Thank you to all at John McLellan for their excellent funeral arrangements.
HENDERSON – Fay and the family of the late Bob Henderson would like to thank all relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues for the many kind expressions of sympathy received following their sad loss. Special thanks to all involved in Bob’s care including the doctors and staff of the Mid Argyll Hospital, community nurses, OT staff, Carr Gomm carers and the local Macmillan and Marie Curie care teams. Your care and kindness shown to Bob was gratefully appreciated by us all. Our grateful thanks to Graeme Ligget for conducting a personal and uplifting service; to Donald MacDonald Funeral Directors for their compassionate arrangements; to the Stag Hotel for excellent purvey and to Morna for beautiful flowers. Our sincere thanks to all who travelled to Cardross Crematorium to pay their respects, and to those who joined the family at the Stag Hotel following the service. The retiral collection raised over £230 for Macmillan Nurses and Marie Curie Care.
MACCUISH – The family of the late Duncan MacCuish, Balranald, North Uist, wishes to convey their sincere thanks for the expressions of sympathy shown, and for attendance at the funeral service, following the passing of their dear brother and uncle. MACINNES – Suzy, Kyle, Cameron and the extended families of the late John Alex (Kip) would like to express their sincere thanks for the many cards, Mass cards, letters, flowers, phone calls, messages and gifts of baking received on their recent loss of such a loving special person. We have been overwhelmed by the many gestures of kindness. Many thanks to Father Roddy Johnson for conducting such a beautiful welcoming service, to Patrick for such a poignant eulogy to his uncle, Jimmy for church music and to Duncan MacKinnon the piper for his piping throughout the day. We would also like to thank Ann and Tida for the lovely church flower arrangements and to McDonald Brothers for such beautiful flowers. We were so grateful to all who travelled from Eriskay, Glasgow, Edinburgh, England to pay their respects and particularly his Balfour Beattie colleagues who had travelled so far to pay theirs. Thanks to Jamie and Beth at Manson & MacBeath for their professionalism, kindness and compassion leading up to and on the day. Also thanks to the MacDonald Hotel for catering services. Finally a thank you to all the locals who lined the Kinlochleven streets as the cortège passed through the village. It was touching and comforting to see so many. A retiral collection of £600 was raised for St Margaret’s Hospice, Clydebank and this will be added to John’s Just Giving page.
