Oban High School (OHS) Under 14 girls rugby team made a long journey south to play an Under 14 Cumnock side.

Three periods of 15 minutes saw an exciting match with tries scored and excellent build up play.

Oban led most of the game and made vital tackles deep in their own half.  Final score: 17-11.

This was an excellent display of rugby from both sides and everyone enjoyed warm hospitality from Cumnock after the game.

The Under 14 girls are going from strength to strength with a weekly OHS School of Rugby session on a Thursday and training after school every Wednesday.

Games are scheduled every two weeks with matches against Whitecraigs and Moffat in the next month. The squad has taken part in several festivals and friendlies this season, home and away, gaining match experience.
