BLUE – Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, on February 21, 2022, aged 64, Joan, beloved wife of Robert, much loved mum to Martin and Robert and mother-in-law to Catriona and Roisin, devoted Granny to Cormac, Orla and Donal, a dear sister, aunt and friend to many. Funeral will take place from Oban Parish Church, Glencruitten Road, Oban on Tuesday, March 1 at 12.00 noon, thereafter to Pennyfuir Cemetery. CAMERON – Ian (Lochaline/Ardrossan) sadly passed away at home on February 16, 2022, aged 63. A loving husband to Alyson and a much loved Dad and Grandad. Will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Service at Keil Church, Lochaline, Saturday, February 26 at 12.30pm.

CLARK – Iain (Tchooky) passed away peacefully at Belford Hospital, Fort William on February 14, 2022. Husband of Elena and son of the late Donald and Nan Clark, Glenshellach Farm, Oban. He will be sadly missed by all. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held in Oban Parish Church on Friday, February 25 at 12.30pm followed by interment at Pennyfuir Cemetery.

DAVIES – Mary Flora (Maimie). Suddenly but peacefully at Forth Valley Royal Hospital on February 11, 2022, Maimie née Maclean, aged 100 years. Formerly of Mull. Beloved wife of the late Eric. Much loved mum of Alasdair and a dear mother-in-law to Sue. Sadly missed by her family and friends. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu in aid of Callander Kirk and Ulva and Salen Parish Church. Funeral service will be held at Callander Kirk at 12noon on Thursday, February 24 2022, thereafter to Callander cemetery to which all friends are respectfully invited.

MACGINTY – At The Golden Jubilee Hospital, after a short illness on Monday, February 14, 2022, in her 80th year, Maryann MacGinty, dearly loved mum of Caroline and Helen, loving granny to Ellie, a dear mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Sadly missed by all.

NASH – On Saturday, February 12, 2022, in Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban, Frederick William of Taransay, Taynuilt aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Muriel, father of Valerie, David and Simon and much-loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Family cremation only. Donations in lieu of flowers can be given in memory of Fred to Taynuilt Village Hall.

MOORE – Emma Isabel Moore of Tormore, Ardvasar, Isle of Skye. Died peacefully on September 29, 2021, aged 92. Dearly loved aunt of Gareth and great-aunt of Isabel and Alistair, and beloved friend to many. Service of celebration on April 9, 2022, Isleornsay, Isle of Skye. Please contact for details.

BOUSTEAD – The family of John Cuthbert Boustead would like to express their sincere thanks to all relatives and friends who sent messages of condolence following their recent sad loss. Special thanks to the staff of Moss Park Nursing Home who looked after John so well over the last almost three years, and to the staff at the Belford Hospital who cared for John during his final hours. Many thanks to the Rev. Amanda Fairclough for her guidance and comforting service, to the staff of John McLellan’s Funeral Directors for their very efficient funeral arrangements, to the staff of The Ballachulish Hotel for their hospitality, and to all those who attended the service and kindly donated £271.05 towards Cancer Research and Moss Park Patients Fund in memory of John.

MACCORQUODALE – The family of the late Angus MacCorquodale wish to express their sincere thanks to all family, friends and neighbours for the kindness and sympathy shown to them during their recent bereavement. Also, for the cards, messages and flowers received. Thanks to all staff at Glenaray Ward and a special thanks to Dr Henderson for their care and attention to Angus. Thanks also to Roddy and Fiona at D Macdonald for all funeral arrangements and special thank you to Cameron for conducting the funeral service at Cardross crematorium and to all who attended. A retiral collection of £270 was raised for CHAS.

MACDONALD – Donald Ruaridh (Dan). Margaret and family send sincere thanks to everyone for the many cards, mass cards, letters, phone calls, flowers and messages of sympathy received following their recent loss. Thank you to Fr Danny Convery for his support during Dan’s illness and for his comforting service, Peter Rose for playing the organ, Charlie Toal for his services, grandson Donnie for his piping and all who attended Dan’s funeral to pay their respects. Thanks too, to Tanya at Farmstead Fayre for the catering and service in the village hall. Very special thanks to the doctors and staff at Tweeddale Surgery, to Care At Home, and to the District and Macmillan nurses for their kind and compassionate care for Dan and ready support for the family. And heartfelt thanks to daughters-in-law, Mylene and Catrina, for their loving care of Dan and Margaret which made a world of difference to Dan’s final weeks. To John and the team at McLellan Funeral Directors our grateful thanks for their guidance and care, and to MacDonald Bros. for the beautiful flowers. To all who donated to Lochaber Macmillan nurses and the upkeep of Cille Choirill, a total of £777.20 was raised, we are grateful for your generosity, many thanks.

MACDONALD – Allan and family would like to thank most sincerely all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many cards, flowers and messages of condolence received from home and overseas. Special thanks to Mallaig and Arisaig G.Ps, district nurses and home carers, staff at the Belford Hospital and Macmillan nurses, who worked together tirelessly to make it possible for Elizabeth to stay at home, by her own fireside in her last months, which was her abiding wish. Thanks to Rev. Stewart Goudie for a beautiful service, a fitting tribute to Elizabeth, and to Arisaig Hotel for funeral teas. Our sincere thanks also to Scott at Greenlees & Son for his care, respect and dignity shown to all the family at this sad time.
