To help mark its 70th anniversary show this year, the organisers of Sunart and District Agricultural Show has issued an appeal for old newspaper clippers and archive photographs from previous shows as contributions for a special calendar and show programme.

Show secretary Nikki Robertson commented on the society Facebook page: ‘Pleased to say that the committee has started planning this years show. The show will be held on Saturday, August 13, this will be our 70th show and we hope to celebrate this in various ways.

‘We are looking to produce a calendar celebrating our 70th show. In order to do this we would like to gather as many photos from previous shows and the 12 that get picked by the community will be in the calendar.

‘If you have any photos that you would like to be included please email your copy with the date of show the picture was taken.’

Photographs and newspaper cuttings can be emailed to
