CATHRO – Ben and Catriona (née MacKenzie) are delighted to welcome their baby daughter, Evie Stewart MacDougall Cathro, born in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, on December 29, 2021; a little sister for Jack, and a beautiful new granddaughter for both families.

BAILEY – Peacefully after a short illness at Lorn and Islands Hospital, Oban on January 13, 2022. Aged 76 years, Moira Diane Bailey (née Hutchison) was the dearly loved mum to Colin, Martin and Alan, sister to Ian and had been wife to Jim. Her absence is greatly felt amongst family and friends and we mourn her passing.

CAMERON – Peacefully at home in Eadar Glinn on January 18, 2022 with the caring staff at her bedside, Ann Johnston Campbell in her 95th year, daughter of the late Robert and Mary Cameron, Sinclair Drive; sister of the late John, much loved sister-in-law of Cathie, beloved aunty of Janet, Bobby and David, treasured great-aunt, cousin and friend. Sadly missed.

DODDIE – (Invergarry/Comrie). Peacefully, at the Telford Centre, Fort Augustus on December 19, 2021, Roger (Roddie) aged 101, beloved husband of the late Jessie, dear father of John and dear father-in-law of Stella. Very proud Grandad of Alison and Joanne and much loved Great-grandad of Timothy and Susanna. Dear Grandfather-in-law of Neil. Very sadly missed by all his family and friends. Private funeral recently held at his own request.

MACCOLL – Peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, Jeannie (née Cameron) beloved wife of the late Donnie, much loved mum to Heather, the late Angus, Dondie, Sheena and Rona, adored granny to Coireana, Kimberley, Kris, Nicola, Leanne, Rachael, Steven, Kelly, David, Scott, Craig, Amanda and Sarah and cherished great-granny to her sixteen great-grandchildren, true friend and supporter to many. Funeral will be held on Friday, January 28 at Salen Parish Church at 11.30am thereafter to Pennygown Cemetery. Family flowers only please.

MACINNES – Roddy, August 12, 1964, died after a short illness at home January 13, 2022, surrounded by his family. Much loved husband, father and son to Karin, Dominic, Ryan and Catherine. Deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Be and be better for he existed. Memorial service on Monday, January 31 at 1.30pm at Oban and Kilmore Church. All welcome. No flowers please. Collection for St Margaret’s Hospice, Clydebank.

SWANSON – Peacefully at home in Keills, Islay, on January 20, 2022, Andy, aged 76 years, beloved husband of Mary Campbell and much loved father of Andrew, Olga, Amy, Mary and Donald and dearly loved grandfather and brother of late Donnie and Jessie. Funeral service in The Round Church and interred in Bowmore Cemetery, Islay on January 25, 2022.

CAMERON – Angus and the family would like to thank everyone for the many kind expressions of sympathy received and for phone calls and cards following the recent loss of Cathie. Special thanks to all the carers over the last six years and to Bibby and everyone who helped at Drimnin. Thanks also to the Rev Donald McCorkindale for his uplifting and fitting service, Stan Lupton Funeral Director for his excellent professional, personal and kind support and to all who attended the funeral and paid their last respects.

CAMERON – David, Carol, and the family of the late Elspeth Cameron would like to express their most sincere thanks to relatives, friends, neighbours, and colleagues for all the flowers, cards, telephone calls and messages of sympathy and support received following their recent sad loss. Thanks to Dr Alison Lewis of the Perth and Scone Medical Practice for her care and attention. A very special thank you to all the community nurses from the Perth and district community nursing team who attended to Mum’s care in her last few days, we will be forever grateful. Thanks to McEwan’s undertakers in Perth for their dignified attendance at the house on the night Mum passed. A special thank you to Ian MacInnes for his patience, understanding and guidance through a difficult time and to all at D&A Munn for their consideration and professionalism. A heartfelt and warm thank you to the Reverend George Cringles for a wonderfully personal, moving, and uplifting service and to Mrs Cringles for her musical accompaniment. Thank you to Lynette at Petals for floral arrangements and the Royal Hotel for their hospitality. And finally, thank you to all who paid their last respects at the church and then on to Pennyfuir. A retiring collection of £606.40 was raised in aid of Cancer Research.

FRASER – Alasdair and family would like to convey their heartfelt thanks to all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy extended to them following their recent loss of Peggy. A special thanks to the doctors at Cill Chuimen Medical Practice and to the district nurses and all the carers for their comforting support. Sincere thanks to Reverend Anthony Jones for conducting a beautiful church service in Invergarry Church of Scotland and to John McLellan Funeral Directors for their compassion, care and professionalism. Finally, thanks to all who generously donated, the sum of almost £900 was raised with donations still coming in for Arthritis Research.

HICKFORD – Hicky’s family would like to sincerely thank everyone for all the kind words, telephone calls, visits, messages and cards. Thank you to all who came to the service at Tobermory Parish Church, attended Suidhe and the Bunessan hall. To Liz Gibson for a lovely service, Billy McClymont for all his help and guidance arranging the funeral. Special thank you to the CalMac ferry crew for taking Hicky on his last sail. The collection total was £1300 which RNLI received £650 and Tobermory Parish church £650.

MACKENZIE – Ann, Maggie, William, Iain and Sam would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to family, friends and neighbours for the many cards, flowers and messages of condolence received following the passing of their beloved dad Sammy. Thank you to Eilidh and her staff at Moss Park Nursing Home for their caring and kindness to Sammy, and to his family, during his time with them. To Jamie, Beth and the team at Manson & MacBeath for their support, guidance and professionalism. To Alyson Stewart for her compassion and the lovely service so relevant to Sammy. To Meg and the ladies at the Railway Club for their warm welcome and hospitality. To Shiona, Colin and Serena at McDonald Bros for the most beautiful flower arrangements. To Carolyn who spoke so eloquently of Granny “Kenzie” and her sons Jimmy, Sandy and Sammy and daughters Babs and Morag, all sadly now gone from us, and to all who attended the service to celebrate Sammy’s life. Thank you to all for your generous donations in memory of Sammy to Alzheimer’s Scotland, both in the collection boxes at the Railway Club, and on the Alzheimer’s Scotland website.
