In these challenging times, Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) management board has approved a £40,000 grant assistance fund.

The money will assist any tenant experiencing hardship between January and March 2022.

ACHA’s welfare rights staff and other colleagues are actively supporting tenants through a variety of other initiatives at this time. This additional initiative is designed to assist those who may not have qualified for other assistance, or have particularly challenging needs at the present time.

ACHA’s chief executive Alastair MacGregor said: ‘We live in very challenging times with substantial increases in fuel, food, clothing and other costs.  If you add to that the stop-start uncertainties of Covid-19 in economic terms; a substantial number of tenants have endured financial pressure.  As a landlord and a charity ACHA’s board has taken this particular initiative to ensure this additional funding is available to help the most vulnerable.  We hope it will allow a number of our tenants to improve their household income over the next few months.’
