West Highland Museum in Fort William, which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary – see pages eight and nine – has restructured its staff team following the retiral of manager Colleen Barker.

Norman Bell, pictured above, joins as administrator, while Sonja McLachlan, centre, continues in her role as volunteer co-ordinator and curator Vanessa Martin takes on the new role of curator manager.

A museum spokesperson commented: ‘We, and our lovely team of award winning volunteers, look forward to welcoming you all to the museum in 2022.

‘We need new volunteers to help in the museum. If you are interested, please call Sonja on 01397 702169 or email’
