Several Plockton residents went carol singing around the village over Christmas and raised £460 in aid of Shelter and Skye and Lochalsh Mental Health Association.

A raffle organised by Plockton Primary School in aid of school funds raised £500.  Plockton Primary School, including the Gaelic unit, has 49 pupils.

The Lochalsh branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland handed out 20 parcels over Christmas.

Ewen Cameron and Santa went through Plockton village on Christmas Eve on a decorated tractor and gave out presents to children.

Ruari Campbell became an octogenarian on Christmas Day.

Congratulations to Ruari Campbell of Cooper Street who celebrated his 80th birthday on Christmas Day. Ruari was born in Plockton.
