Isle of Seil Golf Club
Winners of the Isle of Seil Golf Club Anniversary Waltz competition from left: Denise MacMohon, Ian Galloway, Donnie Campbell, Dawn Singleton, Pat Mill (club captain) and George Hannah.

The Isle of Seil Golf Club would like to say thank you to our enthusiastic  Greenkeeper Mark McDougall  (who had to cope with summer sunshine with drought, then rain in the autumn) and to our roving professional Craig Lee who commenced this season  to support coaching for members  and Easdale and Kilninver Primary Schools.

We look forward to Craig returning next year.

2021 was a year to celebrate 25 years since the founding of the club with many fun competitions and a ‘back to front course over the sea’.

Many Thanks to the Committee, all essential and much appreciated Volunteers who work both on and off the course, all participating members who play for fun or in competitions, and also to our non-playing supporters.

A Happy Christmas to all members and Best wishes for 2022 – Pat Mill (secretary).

Oban Lorne RFC
Oban Lorne under 14s enjoy a muddy good match in November.

I just wanted to take the opportunity to drop everyone a quick note to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a happy new year and hope that we all have a 2022 that brings more cheer to us all.

We at the club are a rugby family and I urge you all to do what you can to reach out to one another just to say ‘Hi. How are you?’ That call might make someone’s day. Just knowing that there’s someone else out there thinking about them will make a difference.

I also want to thank everyone who has contributed their time to help coach at all levels of Rugby within the club, we sincerely appreciate all that you do for Oban Lorne Rugby Club. We are always on the lookout for more volunteers, and if you are interested please get in contact with us at

So lets all take this period to reflect, eat, drink and be merry and come back stronger, fitter and more committed than ever.

And If you’re a player of any age or a parent, thank you all for continuing to support the club. Without you all we have no Club. I, like you, will be looking forward to 2022 and the prospect of more competitive matches. Here’s hoping that Covid doesn’t get in the way of that again.

So Best wishes to all for a Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year and hope to see you all back in 2022 on and off the Park – Darryl Williams (president).

Oban Ravens Squash Club
Oban Ravens Squash Club flew for the first time in 2021.

2021 saw the pre Covid formed Oban Ravens Ladies Squash Team coached by Colin MacNiven fly for the first time with the restart of competitive games and matches around Scotland.

The new home/away strips and kit were rolled out and the team are extremely grateful for the continued support of all its sponsors in what has been a challenging year for everyone.

The team continues to go from strength to strength and trains every Thursday from Atlantis Leisure. This year has seen many new team players join the Ravens and also the return of a few seasoned players. Squad training restarts on Thursday, January 13 2022. There is a lot more squash to be played next year!

January will also see the launch of the team’s Facebook and Instagram social media pages which has been outsourced to a ‘local’ professional social media company.

Many events and competitions are in the pipeline already for next year including the long-awaited return of Ladies Bootcamp in the Autumn.

Thanks to our coach Colin MacNiven whose tireless dedication and devotion continues to drive the team on to bigger and better things.

Seasons Greetings to all the ‘Ravens’ their sponsors and supporters and wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2022.
